It's the same nonsense every war. There will always be those who wish to surrender as soon as the bullets start flying.

Even during the Revolutionary War over half the population just wanted to be left alone. Out of the rest many were loyalists to the King.

Because they've been able to rewrite history so well on Vietnam, having created their own desired outcome there, they simply intend to repeat the same formula now and no doubt in the future as well.

Don't let idiocy redefine victory.

They adopted a constitution. They elected a unity government, no small task given the sectarian nature of the population and long historical resentments, and they did so with overwhelming popular support.

They have already won.


All that is left is for the government to demonstrate a capacity to govern effectively and for a relative handful of insitgators to be locked up or otherwise dealt with
