bad insulin?

I have a glass ice cooler for my insulin that I keep in my car but I was gone for about a week and the cooler usually only last 3-4 days. -- Ended up with cold water when I opened it - anyone know how to tell if insulin is bad?

if in doubt throw it out. insulin is pretty cheap to replace.
