Back weight training

well , i have been working on my back more then anything else. this pic was taken september 15 @ 165 lbs. i got my weight up 2 lbs now. at 167 i just cant seem to reach 170. i doubt i ll reach my goal of 170 by the end of the year , but i will post a pic of my progress,and my new gains. thanks all that helped with my diet, and training.

i dont know....... but my cal. intake is massive. i eat a minimum of 4000 cals a day ,everyday. some days a little bit more. i try to eat every few hours. i just cant understand why its so hard to get my weight up ? and why its taking forever ?
 
Past experience has taught me that when skinny guys claim to eat like a horse but can't seem to get any bigger and you actually force them to write down their exact food intake for an entire week, their caloric intake is usually 35-50% of what they think it is.

Also how much cardio are you doing?
 
Are you eating more than 2 lbs of meat a day?

As soon as I'm back to being healty again I plan to get back on the meat wagon! 290...no reason anymore once I'm healthy. 300 is possible too...anything is possible.
 
I agree with these guys, plug your meals into fitday.com for a week and look at your avg cal intake for that week. If it's not atleast 1000 above maintenance don't expect big gains.
 
I hate to admit it, but I've resorted to mcdee's to get my calories up. I thought i was eating "huge", but calories are calories. Granted, i'll put on a little more fat, but its worth it to put on some weight finally. Start chasing every meal with a nice fatty milkshake. 3 scoops ice cream, 2 scoops protein, 8oz whole milk.

What do your breakfasts look like?
Even when I eat less during the day, I still start my day with a crapload of food.

i do respect what you guys said, and i will try harder. my girl tells me i m sick in the head . becouse of my diet. i cant wait to tell her that im not eating enough.lol ....anyways thanks elite brothers.

yup me too. i eat pizza , big macs, both, or whatever fastfood joint i can get too. only becouse i heared shit like that makes you fat. in the morning i have 4-5 hard boiled eggs , 2 cups weight gainer, 4-5 pieces of peperage farm raison bread , and hot, or cold cerial. and sometimes a grenola bar out the door.

i m already on it. i drink weightgainer milk shakes with bananna s , penutbutter,and honey with,and between meals.you guys already know its hard to consume 4 - 5 k. cals. a day.and even harder for us skinny bastareds but for sure i need to focus more on some points that where stated earlier.
your a skinny basterd too? i dont know if i am, but if so, i wanna be the biggest skinny bastard this part of town.

Keep at it man.

Open up your lats for the pic next time... don't touch your shoulder blades together... you're traps won't look as big but it'll be a good proper rear double bicep pose and good progress shots to see how your lats developing.

O . K sgt. not touching my shoulders together i can do. i ll learn and practice what you said. thanks for sharing your experiance.
 
yeah, its difficult to add weight with my metabolism. My last job was all manual labor, so that didn't help things, I was burning more calories than I could eat. Now I sit on my ass in a car all day long. Gained ~20lbs so far, on the same diet. Breakfast for me looks like 4 eggs, 6 bacon, 2 packets oatmeal, yogurt, and 16oz whole milk (usually with choc/straw flavor). Not entirely healthy, but it keeps me full for a few hours until i can break for lunch.

Also, don't count fast food as a "meal", its a junk snack nothing more. Even if you eat mcdee's at 1 o'clock, you better have eaten some real food at 12 and 3. I started at 145 2yrs ago, ~190 right now, still looking for another 35-45lbs till I cut back.

Oh, one more thing, start adding loaded baked potatoes as much as you can stand. Carbs seem to help me gain weight, and simple carbs digest faster so I can eat more.
 
Well here I get to drag out McCallum again. LoL You need an even bigger "Get Big" drink. Start w/ a gallon of whole milk. Add a bunch of protein powder. Add corn syrup. Yes that's right. Corn syrup. LoL (or if that bothers you, you can buy maltodextrin super cheap online and throw some of that in). Add several Tablespoons of peanut butter. Throw in a banana or two. Add half a block of ice cream (pick a flavor). Honey or chocolate syrup if you want.

Drink one a day. That's an easy 3000 calories and a ton of protein and healthy fats in a portable drink. You will gain weight.

B I N G O .... i dropped my cardio drill for almost 2 weeks now. and gained a few more pounds. exactly how much ,dont know ? but shit i ll take anything. thanx for your sugestion .....Y I PPP I.
 
Me too...i so much as smell junk food and i put on weight...im eating 2400 calories max..with little cardio and not losing anything....oh well..id still rather have to lose than gain...i couldnt imagine trying to eat 6k calories a day in clean food...
 
You need to stuff your face more. I take dumps bigger than the weight you are trying to gain. As a matter of fact if you are not hittin the toliet 4-5 times a day you not eating enough. Cups of raw walnuts or NPB are a easy ways to add lots of cals to your diet.

100 % correct u r. but seems to be that not too many people believe me when i say its just as hard,or harder to gain then to loose it. for me its seems like its close to impossible.
