Back in school

Well, it's almost that time. Classes start back Monday at my university. I moved back today. A lot of students are upset and concerned about campus security because a student was killed on campus last year. (The friend that I mentioned was missing in an earlier thread). It has been determined that he was strangled on campus last year and his body was taken out of town. It still pisses me off that those two assholes killed him so they could use his car. Messed up isn't it? Anyway, I think there's going to be a dark cloud hanging over this university for a while. And there's no way campus security is going to be able to alleviate concerns very easily.

Yes, pepper spray is legal. I don't carry it though, even though I should. Everyone keeps telling me that I need to be more careful. A friend told me tonight that I didn't need to go to Wal-Mart late at night by myself! This murder has got a lot of people very shaken up.

And hey, a bodyguard could always come in handy. A few people think I am incapable of taking care of myself anyway. So why not? lol

Heck on my campus peope are ascared of the police themselves after the beating they did on a large number of the student body at a post championship celeration...Bunch of my friends got beaten up

On my campus stuff like that isn't on peoples minds as much because its happened a number of times before, and will happen again..when u have a pop of 40k students though, its expected

i assume if k-mart is open late at night it sells

booze
tobacco
food
condoms
and possibly firearms

its not going to be attracting the best sort of crowd....

u should be careful, there is truth to the saying strength in numbers....u shouldnt get paranoid but if pepper spray were legal here i;d have a couple of cannisters

(having said that i like to be prepared and i;d probably buy some other stuff as well )

I'll admit that I need to be very careful. And yes, Wal-Mart sells all of that. But I can't live my life in fear either. I'll have pepper spray before it's over though. I'm independant, not stupid.

fair enough, im not saying you need to be afraid of the shadows and all that, just exercise caution

take care....and buy pepper spray. and make sure its the most potent type too!
