i have acne on my back and shoulders and i cant get rid of this...i go tanning but it only cures it temporarily...im going to make a dermatologist appointment soon...anything u guys know i can do to help my problem??

I’m no expert but I’ll tell you what I do to minimize it.

First, shower at least twice a day.

Don’t sit in your sweaty gym shirt for any longer then you have to and take one of your showers directly after working out. If you can do it at the gym before you leave that’s even better.

Clean your bed sheets often. Two to three times a week would be ideal. Most people sweat at night and this is where the bacteria can grow and fester the best, in your warm sheets.

Sleep with an undershirt. This will help wick away the sweat and oil that you will release while sleeping. This also helps to minimize the amount of bacteria that gets transferred to the sheets and helps if you can’t wash your sheets several times a week.

Wash your back with a back washer (loufa on a stick). Get a synthetic one and clean it thoroughly after EVERY use and allow it to air dry. Bacteria will grow here if it’s not taken care of properly.

Use ant-bacterial soap designed for acne.

This is what I do and it seems to help. I still get the occasional pimple but it’s normally associated with sitting in my sweaty shirt too long. But remember, some people will get back-ne no matter what they do. Their just pre-disposed. We’re all different and react to gear differently. Good Luck!

i have strugled with acne my entire life, the only thing that cured it for me was accutane. Now when cycling I take one 20mg pill EOD thorughout the cycle and PCT. This is way bellow the normal dose and so the worst sides never become apparent but it is enough of a dose to keep my skin dry and prevent any major problems. There many who hate accutane and blame it for all sorts of things but for me at least this is what works.

i agree...the shit works

1) Shower twice a daqy
2) Use Nizoral, yes nizoral 2% shampoo rub a small amount into your shoulders DRY, then add a tiny bit of water to your hands then rub some more, leave on for 5mins.
3) Use 4.5 Clinque scruffing lotion, am and pm, apply liberally with a cotton pad. This will take the sebum off you rback and totally clear your pores, but watch it will dry your figurers like a mo fo.

I have had bacne since I was 15, 20 years ago. Now I get the odd spot and that is all.

Ask dermatologist. An antibiotic and a strong topical (sometimes steroidal) will usually help a lot. Also, staying away from testosterone and resulting dht! Stick to deca.

Vitamin B5 could Help..!

----------
How does vitamin B5 work?
The working theory of B5’s anti-acne effect is that acne vulgaris (“vulgaris” from the Latin word for “common”) is really a symptom of a B5 deficiency in the body. Normally, B5 is used in the body to create and regulate hormones, process lipids (fats), etc. But when the body’s B5 pool is depleted, B5 (as coenzyme-A) is allocated according to the body’s own survival priorities. In other words, hormones and neural function are given as much available B5 as possible, with the process of fat metabolism receiving whatever B5 is left over from the more important processes.

How does this relate to acne? Well, when they’re not burned for fuel or stored for future use, extra fats are excreted, among other methods, through the skin as a fat-rich oil called “sebum”. The skin normally has a certain amount of oil released through the sebaceous glands as a means of lubrication. But when there are excess lipids to be eliminated, they are excreted through the sebaceous glands as extra sebum. Thus one experiences “oily” skin.

The skin naturally has a number of blocked pores at any given time, either because of dirt, unshed skin cells or solidified sebum, but the normal output of oil is so low that there is little appreciable build-up of oil behind the blockages. In the case of excess sebum secretion, blocked pores quickly become flooded with sebum, creating a buildup that not only causes a noticeable bump or “comedone”, but also an environment where bacteria may flourish, sometimes causing the pore and surrounding skin to become infected.

How do I take it?
Take anywhere from 3-10 grams a day. Some people do a loading phase, some not.

It is highly recommended to take your doses of B5 divided up evenly over the day. For example, if you were taking 6 grams of B5 per day, you would do well to take six 1-gram doses, spaced out as evenly as possible. The reason for spacing out your doses is that the body can only make use of so much B5 (or any nutrient) at a time.

Trying to take the 6 grams of B5 all at once would really only result in a waste of the excess that the body can’t absorb, and it wouldn’t allow much coverage for your body’s B5 needs throughout the rest of the day. The ideal might be to take as many small doses throughout the day as possible, but it isn’t always practical to take doses on every hour or half-hour. Every two or three hours appears to work best for most people.

Hey bro,

Get yourself some Tea Tree Oil. If I were you I would go get some tea tree body wash and use it twice per day. Then at night, I would use pure tea tree oil directly on your skin. It really works well. The smell of the pure tee trea oil is pretty bad so thats why i would use it at night. The body wash smells fine though. You can get them both at GNC's or Vitamin Shoppes. I believe they are made by "Jason".
