B12 SubQ is sick! AMAZING

strongsmartsexy said:
I tried locating some B12 injectible in Sandyeggo yesterday since AC is temporarily out. I went to 4 different pharmacies who insisted I must have a perscription. I did, however, find one vet place that had 100ml of B12 for like $6, which I didn't buy.

What the hell is the idea behind having a script for injectible B12? A script for a vitamin???

Had the same problem myself. Doc wouldn't give me a script because he suspected would use the pins for gear. I think that's why you need a script.. for the pins, not the B12.

I wasn't buying pinz. :)

So, where else can I purchase some from?

Yeah, I know. You should be able to buy the B12, and just need a script for the pinz. I didn't need any pinz either, but I didn't want to tell my Doc that, ha ha ha. I guess they assume the B12 is useless without the pinz since it's IM or sub-Q, so their logic says you should have a script for B12 as well. Who knows.

I walk into my local pharmacy and pick up the pinz. They ask what for and I write down 'hormone replacement therapy'. Pay 10 cents a piece and walk out.

Well, being the general smart ass I am, I bought the vet 100ml B12 to bring back to one of the pharmacies, since the pharmacist behind the counter didn't believe I could actually get it without a prescription. I brought it back and he was shell shocked. :lmao: I told him it was very odd that we could get injectible vitamins for our animals with no problem but had to have a script for our own.

I did return the B12 back to the vet store though.

I myself recently walked into a Wlgreens Pharmacy (whichis a local pharmacy in Florida). I told them that I needed some 1cc syringes with needles to inject my insulin. They did not know me from Adam's House Cat. I walked out without any questions other than what size I needed. I got two packs of 10, that were 1 cc, 29 guage syringes, with a 1/2" needles.

Yes, they are small, but they work great for my B12 injections.

Yeah, insulin needles can be got without scripts, same with insulin for that matter, due to the fact that sometimes there isn't time to get a script.

Slin pins are perfect for b12.

Why did you take the vet B12 back to the store SSS, btw?

I'd rather have human grade. And I wanted to show the pharmacist how silly having to have a script for B12 was. There was only 2 miles separating the two places.
