It was a grenade you fire off the end of your rifle, propelled by a blank carteridge usually. I forgot what they are called. Similar to a mortar.

Its also easy to tell if you noticed the trajectory he used, if it was rocket propelled he wouldnt have had to aim like he did to get it to go a mere 200yds.
