A conservative in the traditional sense (and traditional is what conservatism is all about) IF:
- You believe it is OK for the government to pass legislation that guts the constitution and bill of rights.
You cannot consider yourself a libertarian if:
- You believe that it is acceptable for the government to pass legislation that allows for the quarter-century to lifetime jailing of protestors as terrorist because of 2 witnesses and the claim that you were disrupting the normal functions of society.
You should not view yourself as anything but hypocritical if you complain about your 1st ammendment rights being violated when you support the gutting of the 2nd ammendment.
Protect the Constitution first! Because it's all we have to protect us!
