I need a gizmo to determine which office ethernet jack connects to which patch panel jack...preferably one that doesn't cost $200+. Any recommendations?
You would plug one end into the wall and the other had a sensor thing that when brought close to the right set of wires it would emit a strong high pitch noise
Pinging won't work unless there's actually a device configured on each end. The patch panel in our office ceiling is labeled incorrectly and I'm getting tired plugging/unplugging and looking for a light on the switch....not to mention people are getting pissed that I keep disconnecting their pr0n downloads.
