AT&T False Billing Practices

I keep receiving bills from AT&T long distance department. First they were sending bills to my old mailing address and they were not getting forwarded to the new. On occasion, I would get a call from their collection department saying I owed x amount of dollars for the monthly service. 1) I never solicited them or agreed to have them as a long distance provider on my phone, but they billed me for it anyway. 2) Three times I have already requested they remove the service from my telephone which they claimed to do, but I just received by mail at my new address a bill for several months service. 3) I paid the "balance due" already from the previous bills, so this is yet another bill from them. 4) I never make long distance calls from the phone. It is there only for internet service. How can I get these assholes out of my life?

Companies like providian and Capital 1 pull this shit also. They'll open an acct for you, send you a bill, and wait for you to pay it. Then when you call and complain they ask you to send them a letter requesting you close it. When you do this, they'll close it, and then tack on some stupid service fee and reopen without your knowing. And then latter on when you tell them you never opened an acct with them, they'll say obviously you did because we have a letter from you stating to close it.

Don't laugh, ive seen it happen. I can't believe by now people havent been going to corporate america offices and blowing themselves up.

I should explain. A company that had an infomercial advertising a product called Plex and Blast, promoted by football player Darryl "The Liar" Johnston, claimed that the product worked better than steroids or you get your money back. I figured nothing to lose but time, so I gave it a try. It was worthless shit. When I sent it back, they refused to give my money back because I used the entire product. Scumbags. The offer simply stated, try for 30 days and if you are not satisfied, you get your money back, no questions asked. They picked the wrong dude to fuck with. I called them and threatened to blow up their building if they didn't refund my money. Of course, I would deny this if asked. A cop called me saying that this company had complained and was concerned about a threat that I had made. I didn't admit the threat, but I told the cop what the fucking scumbags had pulled on me, the cop was on my side. He's the one that introduced me to creatine. He called the company back and chewed them out. I got my money back shortly thereafter. End of story. Moral of story. Sometimes you have to fight back. If more people were like me, we wouldn't have to put up with the shit that we do. I have always fought. Most of you just bitch.

Thanks alot guys. I'll probably pass on strapping a bomb to myself and blowing up AT&T headquarters. Maybe I'll mail their corporate headquarters a sculpture and then send them a bill for $20,000. I'm usuming the AG wont fix the problem.

Thanks for this information, man. I have a situation with AT&T, too.

My calls added up to a whopping $14 last month, and they charged me over $400.

That, simply put, deserves a thorough beating.

Yeah no shit. They can charge us and take us to court over anything. And yet they can waste countless hours of our time and we can't bill them for shit. Fuck them. They created this fucking mess were in.

He was a cold blooded murderer. There is a difference between making such a threat and actually carrying it out. Scumbags would run rampant over us if not for the fear of going to jail or someone killing them. Threats work if they are taken seriously. BTW are you an executive for AT&T?

I have no affiliation with any phone company but I would not shed a single teardrop if someone parked a truck of ammonium nitrate in front of one.

Personally I couldn’t do it. I don’t have the balls. Second, I would be crying like a pussy when they strapped me in for the injection.
