Went shopping today. Since I'm not really in the position currently to throw down $7-8k on a bike, it looked like one of the best deals we discussed was:

05 SV650S
yoshi exhaust
frame sliders
rear seat cowle (sp?)

Asking $5k for it. It's got about 8k miles on it. Bright yellow (good for the traffic here and matches my helmet :) )

It felt real good under me, I won't lie. But I haven't heard much about these bikes, so would love some fdbk on it. Constructive would be nice...

Thank y'al

EF posters x aap's friday night: how much phaded earns per second x jh1's penil length (measurement of the circular window in my room)

Also, I bought the bike :)

my boy is selling a dope bike i could have just gotten him to give it to you for really chepa.

It's a twin. Two cylinder sport tourer. Its got some pep. Very good in the corners. Doesnt sound like a typical inline 4 sportbike. Sounds more like a toned down Ducati. Its a VERY good overall bike. I think you would like it. You can have a comfortable ride position while still being sporty in the twisties. Also a good price.

Thanks pats!!

The yoshi exhaust makes me feel like a man.

Pics coming...

Pics man. Yosh exhausts are great. Go wax that thing right now. Then ge ta lawn chair set it up in the garage and sit and stare at it like I do.

Study it. Know that thing in and out.

PS OIL changes are easy on that bike because it doesnt have any fairings.

Now go look up the word streetfighter.

Do it.

I just got fucking STARED down by some bleach blonde typical out here in the parking lot. lolol, too predictable.

Yes, the manual is comin next week, I will study this I like I study pussy.

Pics tonight, gotta go out and get a sansdisk thing

lolololo!!!! I was just riding the bike around the parking lot (outdoor and under ground). When I was in the underground garage I drove by some dude chillin in a parked red camaro. Then I rode up the street and back to the outdoor lot, where he was parked again. I went to the end of the lot and stopped for a second, only to see him pull up behind me. He gets out the car (Asian old man) and starts saying something like "In James Bond movies, the bike will forrow the car, then get out...." the more stuff I couldn't understand. Then "I'm not worth James bond forrowing. I poor man. And cripple (at this point who motioned to his wrist braces - lifting straps actually)."

Then he drove off.

WTF

lololol

The dark windscreen was the first thing I thought of
Word on the signals
Also thought of the fender eliminator, someone else in my building owns an SV w/ an eliminator
Yeah, I remember PBR telling me about the piece of wood for the soft concrete
Chicken strips?

Oh, and MAJOR issue I found out about yesterday re: my apt. My apt complex, which has several buildings, has a few outdoor assigned pkng lots, one underground gated lot and a few outdoor gated lots. There is a motorcycle parking area in the underground lot, which includes a strip of metal bolted into the ground where you can attach a lock to. So, I got a garage opener so I could park my bike in there.

There are several other bikes there. A Kawa ZX 6, CBR 1000, R1, Hayabusa, a few dirtbikes, Ninja 500. So this dude is working on his dirtbike and we get to talking. Apparently our apartment is notorious for having bikes stolen from it. Meaning, it's EXPECTED that your bike will be stolen. This dude had two bikes stolen from that spot (R6, R1). He showed me burn marks from the plasma cutters these dicks use to cut the chains. Over 50 bikes have been ganked from the apt!! FUCK ME. Bout 30 mins later I met an older Australian dude who had his R1 stolen from the garage 1 week after he bought it.

Fucking fuck. The only reason the Hayabusa is still there is b/c the dude laid it down a week after getting it and the fairings are all scratched up. But the guy expects the CBR and R1 to be gone any day now. I must have woken up 10 times lastnight thinking I was hearing them stealing my bike from the garage (my window faces the garage). I'm headed out there now to see if it's gone, lol.

So, I'm going to the dealer today to increase my theft protection to cover the full bike and I'm getting that diesel kryptonite chain.

This is awesome.

i've rode them both and i like the honda superhawk a lot better. . .find a good used superhawk on e-bay. . .there's usually a few and the prices usually aren't too bad. . .throw a pair of staintunes on it and it will sound as incredible as it looks/runs. . .

you'd have been happier with the 999 twin rather than the 650. . .jus' sayin'. . .
I just started riding a few months ago and yesterday was the first time I had set my ass on anything bigger than a 500. So the 650 will do me just fine for a bit

isn't the bore how deep the piston drives into the cylinder?
more bore, more gas in the cylinder, more fire room for the piston
think that's how it works :)
so if you dig it deeper (bore your cylinders) you get more hp

oh yeah and good buy bro
i think anyway
seems cheap for awesome transportation

i know. . .but the 999 in the superhawk is buttery smooth. . .lotsa low-end but very easy tractable power. . .it looks like a sport bike but it rides like a cruiser. . .
