Can aspirin (which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)) help a never-ending tendonitis ?

I'm not sure about the apsirin.

just a comment - when I had tendonitis my doc prescribed 800 mg ibuprofen. It worked pretty well for any pain.

never ending....

provided its not due to tendon damage which hasnt healed...i guess? but if i was taking something long term i'd take a COX-2 specific like rofecoxib (VIOXX)...less harsh on the stomach.

asprin is a proven drug though....but i had read about long term complications of taking it

Actually I don't want to take NSAIDS like ketoprofen (gel or pills) for a too long time

so I was looking for something that could speed recovery (apart from rest)

It is good for yourt heart, bad for your stomach, supposed to prevent some cancer, causing bleedings.........

no it was something about potential side effects not known yet...

either pancreatic or kidney...i'll have a rumage for the article later, im not sure

i would look into supplements that improve the tendon strength, anti-inflammatories will remove pain away from a potential injury which could be worsened by training.

Thanks for the advice

I guess I'll stick to omega 3s

anti-i's actually hinder tendon/joint recovery

immflamating is the bodies natural healing response to those type of injuries
