How do we get it across to spammers that they are wasting their time here?

I like the idea of shooting them, myself. Imagine you're a socially inept geek who really loves the Net, and the doc tells you that you have only six months to live. Let's say you've got a few weeks before the pain becomes disabling.

What better way to go out than to take a spammer or two with you?

I'm really, really surprised that hasn't happened a few times already.
