not in a car. the fastest any of my own cars have been is about 115 mph (done that in 3 cars). the fastest i've been a passenger in a car for was probably about 140-ish. the speedo in my buddy's 70 Chevelle had broken. we knew the car did 120mph in 4th gear at 4K rpm. we had the car at 5000 rpm and came close to 5500 rpm a few times on a run down the highway. for all i know, we could have very well been doing 150mph.

i have had the bike up to it's max speed on a number of occasions. when the magizines tested my bike (99 F4) they got 156mph clocked by radar at redline in 6th gear. not bad for a 600cc bike. i've had my bike up to redline in 6th maybe a dozen times. scary fast.
