I'll start with current stats.
Height 6'2"
Weight 310lbs
Age 30
So I've been lifting for close to 17 years now. Only seriously training for the last four or so. I started my journey into weights for athletics manly football. When I got to college I went the bodybuilding route as I didn't continue my sports career. I did that for about four years until I realized I hated dieting and not lifting heavy. I made the switch to powerlifting and eventually to strongman competitions. My current goals are to gain as much strength as possible and resume my strongman career by moving up into the pro circuit. Well that's enough about me.
I want to let everyone who visits this forum to know that I will do my best to help you out in any way possible. If I don't have an answer for you I'll do what I can to get you one. This should be a fun place where we can exchange knowledge and teach each other as much as we can.
I have some simple rules I'd like you all to follow.
1. Treat everyone with the same respect you want returned.
2. Don't get into flame wars, light hearted ribbing amongst friends is fine.
3. Try to keep an open mind.
Also try to remember that just because something is apparent to you doesn't mean it is to anyone else. Be prepared to explain things in a deeper manner.
I also want you to know that you can ask me anything you want (I reserve the right to not answer some questions). If you aren't comfortable asking on the open forum send me a pm. Please keep all correspondence within the elite terms of service (if you don't know them ask or look it up).
Hope we can all get along and make lots of progress together.
