Tell that to some true natives living on reservations.....I'm amazed at how easy people today dismiss the history of this country. Fortunately the Indians are basically confined to the reservations, so we don't get a daily dose of them in our faces, much easier to disregard them. Minorities, hispanics, blacks, asians, are, much more vocal. Easy to say what we say when we haven't never had to deal with what some people deal with, much easier to blow them off.
The stronger have always ruled the weaker. When tribes (I'm not just talking about American Indians) first began migrating across continents, it was usually b/c another, stronger tribe had pushed them out of the land. The same thing happened in the US. The natives were at a technological disadvantage and were displaced. Its not race or bigotry, it's historical fact. In fact, if you look back in history, the Indians actually got off rather easily. In ancient times a conquered people were usually either enslaved or slaughtered to the last man. As an example, when Jerico fell to the Israelites, every living thing was put to the sword. In time, another, stronger tribe may take this land that we call the US, and it won't be wrong or right, it will eventually be just history.
