HEY DO ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVE ANY NICE PICS OF ARNOLD?? IM SURE THAT OTHERS WOULD LOVE TO SEE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fro: :die: :destroy:

ive heard of this pic where arnold is balancing a cup on his pecs while standing up straight.. anyone know what I'm talking about? if so, can you post a link? im interested in seeing it

I have what is probably a really stupid question. When Arnold is doing squats as in the Arnold pix above, are there 45 lb weights on the end of the squat bar - and if so, it seems as though he's "only" squatting 315. Don't know about you guys, but 315 isn't SUPER huge weight for squats. Am I wrong - are those the 100lb weights? Maybe he's just posing these pix for the camera? Anyone know whats up? Also - anyone note that Arnolds initials are AS?? heheehe

BTW - I'm NOT Arnold bashing - he's been an idol for me in training, probably the best all around BB ever... just curious about the pix.

Can't really tell by the pic if they're 45's or 100's. But judging by the bend in the bar I'd say they're 100's.

I think they are 45's on both pictures. 315 in one and abot 445 in the other. 600 lbs is a lot of weight, especially in the 60' and 70's.
Also Arnold was not a powerlifter and 600 lbs is a little much even for Arnold to use. He was also known for doing reps, reps, and more reps.

He is unbelievable. First thing I did when I started lifting was to get his encyclopedia. So what do you guys think? Was he on the juice?? hehe. SOMEONE had to ask that in this thread :p . Wonder what his cycles looked like and how/when he started in relation to his lifting? Too bad I waited till 30 to start lifting :)

Arnold looks better at his times than any bodybuilder today. in my opinion....
I completely agree. I really don't like the look of todays BB's. Their torso's are so big it makes their arm and legs look small. And those GH guts are just plain ugly. You'd think a guy like myself that lifts would appreciate them and not think they look like freaks, but I do. No wonder the general public shys away.

Those pics havent been doctored. Anybody who has seen pumping Iron will agree. Besides, the color-pic of the two mentioned is a classic Arnold-pic which also has been shot from diff angles, all of them showing his impressive biceps :p :p ....saying they have been doctored is blasphemy ;) ;)

Reps, Reps, more reps...

Just a question. Someone mentioned that Arnold was big into reps. Does that mean then that HIT is not preferred for mass. I always thought going heavier and less reps was good for mass while lots of reps and lighter weights were good for definition. If so does that mean then that if a person only did low reps with heavy weights that he would never be ripped just smooth and bulky? Thanks.

You're right. I have sinned. My penance will be a 24hr Arnold marathon. Conan The Barbarian, Conan The Destroyer, Predator, Terminator, and Commando. Over and over again till my head is straight again.
