Army basic training + Some!

Hey guys so I have a question and wanted to know what you guys thought.
Probably anyone who actually served would have the best insight, but Id like to hear all opinions.

I'm thinking of starting another cycle, but am also joining the military and will be in basic training and then individual training.

I would like to do my cycle before I leave, but I hear that you loose lots of weight and strength. And I don't want to waste my gear. Thinking maybe I should just save the gear until I come back from all the training.

What do you guys think about this?

Another thing that would concern me is, if I'm not deployed right away and don't have a date until I am needed, sounds risky to do a cycle when you might be told to deploy a day or two later when your still on cycle and haven't started or finished pct.

Anyone have ideas on if when you are needed if you are given a certain amount of time or do you leave right away?

Tips, suggestions, and advice would be good stuff to hear from you guys.

Let me know what you guys think.
 
Save it bro. Basic is basic. You don't have weights or anything pretty much all you can do is push-ups and sit-ups.
I wouldn't even worry about deploying. I just got back. No one else is supposed to be going plus by the time you get done with basic and get to a unit you won't deploy
