Arizona Guy Gets 9 Yrs For Distributing AS!

I just saw this on the news. The guy only got busted a couple months ago. I'll post the actual story as soon as it's posted on the local news website. The guy wasn't too bright. He told the cops he was going to flee to canada so the judge set his bail at 1 million. He has 2 kids and his wife was arrested as well. My guess is the cops threatened to lock up his wife and put his kids in foster care if he didn't take the 9 yr jailtime plea bargain. Wifey probably got probation as a part of the deal. This is a prime example of how cops will use whatever they can against you to avoid going to trial. You'd think a guy running a million dollar roid operation via the internet(so the cops say) would have a lawyer on retainer. How could you not? Then again, why would you tell cops you're gonna leave the country after you got busted either? If he had a good attorney I bet he'd have gotten 5 yrs max(served 3) and charges against wifey would've been dropped. There's no way a judge would put his wife in prison w/ 2 kids unless she was an actual part of the operation(which would have to be proven in court). Even if she admitted that she knew what was going on(but didn't participate), she'd have probably gotten probation-which is probably what she got anyway as part of the plea bargain.

I don't see how anyone can be a drug dealer of any kind without knowing the risks. How can you assess risk(max penalties for getting popped) vs. reward(how much $$$ you're making) without knowing the potential consequences? Anyway, I'll post a link as asap.

Everyone knows the risk, they just don't think they will get caught or else they wouldn't do it. They know there's a chance, but in their mind, they're smart enough to get away with it.

I doubt the guy told people that he knew were police that he would flee to canada... it was probably a statement made to an undercover officer. anyway, if you ever have any kind of trouble with the police its always best to just shut up and ask for an attorney immediately so they have to stop questioning you (at least in the US) and then let a professional (the attorney) advise you on the best course of action. Remember the police dont even have the authority to make deals, the District Attorney does. The police however will lie to you and say that they can make it easy for you, yeah maybe by getting you a cup of coffee and a cigarette while you sign away your freedom.... be smart bros, dont talk to the cops!

Glad to hear someone else knows this. I post and elaborate on this very topic quite a bit. A lot of guys will only learn the hard way though.
