Is it better to take 1mg EOD or cut the tab into half and take .5 ED

just curious as to what others have done/tried..

I am not familiar with the half-life of arimidex/anastorozole

I believe that half-life is about 50 hours, so taking it EOD should be ok as long as your doses are not up there.

the half life is indeed more than a day, but i like to go .5 ed because you get sort of a spill over effect.

I would take 1 mg EOD. I am not sure if this is accurate at all, but here goes.

Some pills don't have the medicine uniformly distributed in them, but rather "injected" into the binding compound of the pill somewhere in the center. NOW I dont know at all if this ist the case with arimidex, but if it is, you would essentially be doing 1 mg EOD if you took a half a pill a day .. so why not just a whole pill EOD ...

Also, if you split a pill, you sometimes lose a few loose fragments, so why not just take 1 EOD if it works and avoid this?

actually .25mg is ok

unless you are doing a gram of test or more. Then I would use .5/day if not you can use .5 EOD like me or .25/day

For a first cycle, I would be conservative and still go ahead and do the 1 mg EOD ... its better to play it safe than find out you are sensitive to gyno and end up with it at a lower dose!

My sentiments exactly.You can easily get away with EOD dosing,but I REALLY feel the effects with the ED spillover.

As far as uneven distribution in the pills, if you split them in half and take .5 mg ED, the WORST thing that would happen is that all the shit is in one half of the pill and you're doing 1g EOD, which is the other alternative anyway. You're probably getting closer to .5 g, you're probably doing no worse than .25 1 day and .75 the next so why not split the pill?

Even dosages like this are far better than megadosing EOD.

Of course the recommended dose for cancer is 1mg ED so...
