arimidex for pct ?

kraze

New member
since arimidex is fda approved now, would it be sufficient to use for pct coming off 40mg ed var 7wk cycle

Not a good idea. The point of PCT is to try to get your natural hormones back at to normal. Armidex gets your estrogen too low. A better idea might be to include some nolva as part of your PCT.

I agree 100 %

Lowering estrogen raises test, I think that is the whole reason behind using dex for pct. But, I would also use nolva with it. But this time around I may not have that option, so in a few weeks you can all see my dex only pct results.

yes to some degree, but when you come off estrogen is not your problem...and if your lower estrogen to low then it will effect your recovery and diminsh your already lackinng sex drive...I do not recommend it

this is cut and pasted right off of steroid-ology drug profiles

There are some concerns with using an aromatase inhibitor such as this during prolonged steroid treatment however. While it will effectively reduce estrogenic side effects, it will also block the beneficial properties of estrogen from becoming apparent (namely its effect on cholesterol values). Studies have clearly shown that when an aromatase inhibitor is used in conjunction with a steroid such as testosterone, suppression of HDL (good) cholesterol becomes much more pronounced. Apparently estrogen plays a role in minimizing the negative impact of steroid use. Since the estrogen receptor antagonist Nolvadex is shown not to display an anti-estrogenic effect on cholesterol values, it is certainly the preferred from of estrogen maintenance for those concerned with cardiovascular health.

I'd have to agree with some of the others. The whole point of arimidex to keep estrogen from forming (during your cycle, not after). Nolva keeps estrogen from binding.

if you can actually read Mr Black's post and not be distracted by that damn avatar (who is this girl, im getting on a plane :p ) i fully agree with him. anti aromatases should not be used post cycle, they will affect natural estrogen levels, and therefore affect libido.

pct = anti estrogens, not anti aromatases.

cheers

Didn't know that I used Nolva before when I ran out of clomid, just as an emergency until my stuff came taught me to be fully prepared. Slash 747 love the movie Qoute a classic
