Arimidex every 8 hours?

Depending on further blood work results tomorrow, Doc has prescribed me 0.5-1mg of Arimidex every 8 hours. This seems like a high dose compared to what I've been reading from other folks. My total T today was at 1418 ng/dl and I'll know about estrogen levels tomorrow. My libido is in the trash and this is an attempt to fix it. Does this sound right?

Seems high. Id start at .5mg eod and see where you end up.

See where your estrogen level is at. When I run total tes above 1500 I need 1mg anastrozole everyday to keep estrogen around 22. Works great for me.

no need to dose every 8 hours, as for how much to take depends on how much test your taking and how you respond to the test. 0.5-1mg eod is usually fine for most people on say 400-500mg week test cycle.

Remember that adex does nothing for existing estrogen, it only reduces how much is converted via enzymatic processes. So if you doc is putting you on a large dose and plans on dropping it, thats a silly approach. You made your high E bed by not taking an AI so your going to have to sleep in it and let your body metabolize the excess E while you simply take a protective dose of an AI to prevent the creation of too much.

Will Proviron attack existing estrogen?

There isnt anything you can do with existing estrogen aside from let it metabolize. You can block it from doing harm at the receptor but thats not lowering it. Calcium D clucoanate and DIM can help it metabolize a bit better.

Estrogen level came back today at 107! Just sayin. BTW, Doc said pharmacy messed up on the dosage. He said it's not .5-1 mg every 8 hours, but 1 mg 48 hours after my last shot and 1 mg 48 hours later, then retest blood in a week.

your estro is really high... i don't know why they prescribed arimidex at that level... you should be using aromasin... generally .5 mg eod is the proper dosage of arimidex but at that level i would be far more aggressive...
