reducing wasteful military spending

Civil Liberties and freedoms (including gay marriage and abortion under this rubric)

Healthcare reform (for it but not sure of the best plan)

Improved schools.

Out of the was as in immediate withdrawl? Reducing military spending only? Healthcare reform, but not nationalization? Improved schools by more $$$ or by reform or both?

Those are all important issues, but which positions best support the "how" of getting them achieved?

So someone you agree with on all other issues but who was staunchly anti-homosexual would get your vote? What if he was a born-again Christian but didn't believe in legislating his views (other than being anti-homosexual)?

If he shared my views on immigration, the economy, federal spending/debt, taxation, welfare, and Pro-Death punishment I would vote for him or her no matter what their sexuality outlook was.

After all, one person isn't going to eliminate homosexuality in any form so those smart enough to get things done wouldn't even bother to try.

maybe not immediate withdrawal, but I would like to see the billions of surplus that Iraq has be used to rebuild and not our money. I would like to see someone implement a plan to get us out of Iraq within a year, for the most part.

Reduced spending on military and more accountability for wasteful spending and outrageous government contracts. More spending in areas where it pays to spend money (perhaps get some of the mentally ill people off the streets and onto meds or in places where they can be helped); programs for disadvantaged children; scholarships for school; pensions for veterans; improved veteran hospitals; etc.

Healthcare (I'm not sure what needs to be done, but something. It is a travesty that people are dying in America because the middle class can't afford preventative care, even.) I can't tell you how many people I filed bankruptcy for when I had my own office, who were filing because of medical bills. That means we all pay, anyway.

Schools -- reform and, only if needed, appropriate increases for funding.

So how do we guard this country with Military cuts. Hell the guys in Iraq now will tell you that they don't have what they need. So what makes anyone believe we have what we need here? Remember people, we are hated by many a country, let alone terrorists in our own country.

Don't cut usable military money but quit doing stupid shit with it.
School don't need more money, they need to be able to punish a child. In the old das we never had half the shit they have now.

I am poor, non-insurance bastard, but I get programs like you see on TV, they cut bills and help with prescriptions, well, everyone needs to be aware these work, and to use them.

Abortion, well.............. thats up to the public, I don't have children, just step............ so I really would listen to the public, maybe run a few polls......... and then make a informative decision.
