Are women more higher in demand than guys?

Is it just me or do me like women more then women like men?

It just seems like women always have an upperhand in the dating market.

Why is this so? or is it just me?

for some reason it seems like guys always want a girlfriend, or wouldnt mind having a girlfriend,

while girls are like, "oh i dont think i really care for a boyfriend right now in my life"

It seems like girls are always the ones who take longer to decide whether they have interest as well. (and no this is not just because i dont get accepted by women, I see this happen in many successful relationships.)
Women just take longer to decide who knows why, but it almost seems like they're toying with us.

course then again, this is coming from me, a student who goes to a private Christian college.

It's fairly simple. Men spend the first 9 months trying to get out and then spend the remainder of their days trying to get back IN!

I mean for sex we already know girls play harder to get, because there are more biological problems on their side of the equation (such as getting pregnant)

This all goes back to evolution and survival. Men's bodies make 10 times more testosterone than women do. So, on average, men have a higher sex drive so they'll perpetuate the species. Since women would be the ones left holding the bag (er baby), they had to be more choosy about their mate and hold out for one who was strong and a good provider to insure her and her baby's survival. Even though times have changed, our basic biology hasn't. Though in modern times, since women have more economic power than they used to, there is less pressure to marry.
 
1/4 of the men fuck 3/4 of the women, while most couples miserably try to survive the rational allure of divorce or termination.

Certainly men try to "sell" themselves to women. But that doesn't mean women are in higher demand for everything.

i guess if its the other way around, i am still curious as to why. Cuz I would just assume that both the sexes want each other equally.

You keep forgetting one irrefutable fact: YOU NEED TO GET LAID. And therefore you need to adopt the character traits and personality of people who get laid. dude, i dont need to get laid,

I dont feel like doing that before i get married is right, so I'm gonna wait.

But in the mean time I do want a girlfriend, a chance to makeout with her, etc.

There are quite a few girls at my college who would be up for this I think. so that is something to strive for, for next year, and maybe even at other places over this summer.
