we had a cockatiel that was retarded. the other normal one that we had would pull all the feathers off of the top of the retarded one's head, so he was bald on top under that thing that sticks up.

we got him from one of my dad's students, and the whole time this guy had owned the bird, which was from when the bird was very young, he only fed it canary seed because he didn't feel that he could afford the cockatiel food.

the bird was totally weird and would randomly peck at you, and randomly be kind of nice.
it would occasionally mimic the washing machine going off balance and it would do it for hours unless you threw things at the cage.
it would also mimic the alarm clock going off... for hours.
it was like he got stuck.
