You need a script in Mexico by law. It's just the laws are a little loose if you've got cash.

Been to Mexico several times and never had any problems. You can walk into any pharmacy or vet and get what ever you want usually below the marked price

Well I've never been to any border towns by california but the ones by texas have pretty much any thing you would want. Human or vet.

Gear is not avaiable in Brazil without a script in the vast majority of pharmacies, but nobody really care since it´s very easy to get them by other ways.
