Did as you suggested and put some arrows on the shot to try and illustrate things a little better. 95% of my calf jabs go into either head of the inside gastroc, as this is the weakest of the two - all using a 23 gauge pin inserted to about 3/4 of the way in. Very, and i mean very occasionally i'll do a shot from underneath the gastroc head right up under the muscle, using a 21 gauge pin (only done it twice so far and the discomfort involved makes me quesy) Again, i've only ever site jabbed prop and deca - prop going in the sides, and the thicker more oily deca goes underneath the muscle - i found that after repeated jabbing of the sides of the calves they became more enlarged than the surrounding tissue - sticking 2ml of deca underneath rounded it all out nicely.
Training wise i try to hit them no less than 3 times a week - with either standing or seated raises, alternating between heavy weights/low reps and moderate weights/high reps. This seems to work for me cause i'm nearly always sore after training them. Last calf workout involved picking a weight i would normally do 20 reps with - and doing a hundred reps - obviously with alot of partials to the point were your heels are hardly moving, but man what a pump and burn!! could only manage 3 sets and i was pooped...
I have to disagree with anyone who says site injecting is worthless - i'm not backing it up with science or physiological evidence but from personal experience - it definately has made a noticeable difference for me.
And if anyone repeatedly jabs their ass it WILL make a difference - wher do you think the term "gorilla butt" came from - you only have to look at some side shots of our current Mr O....
i rest my case.
