The second part of your question you kind of answered yourslef. The fact that you need a prescription is what seperates them.
You can walk into GNC (an over priced rip off) or something like the Vitamin Shoppe (great prices), or the on-line stores and buy all kinds of stuff made to increase your test levels, reduce your estrogen and so on, but since January most pro-hormones became illegal.
