Are photographers crazy?.....

I am reviewing web pages for photographers all over the country. Very few of them are logical. Mostly a bunch of hype about how outstanding they think they are. Then they have this testimonial page. I wonder how many people really sit down and write a letter explaining how happy they were. I get loads of compliments but they don't write me letters for some reason.

I'm not asking about opinions on paparazzi....they are leeches to a degree. What is your opinion of the photographers you have worked with?

Any sincere advice on a web page would be appreciated. I'm too business like and logical to make a typical web page consisitng of little more than hot air. If I was a customer, I'd want to know the price and what I would get for this price.

I'm not surprised, I've met some nut jobs myself. But then I've met a lot of nut jobs period.

I can't hardly see contacting someone with no price or package information on their web page. I wouldn't shop at an art gallery with no prices on the art.

REAL Photographers get their jobs by networking -- not by having a nice pretty website.

You could be the greatest photographer in the world, but if you like in Burke, Montana -- the half ass photographer who schmoozes and dines with the big boys in Miami is gonna get all the contracts.

hehe. Call me a Reality nerd. I sit here all day and disect and analyze the world.

Huh...so do I and for some reason I don't know quite everything about everything. I thought I did though while in my early 20's. Keep it up, tis a good feeling.
