Are CF cards becoming obsolete?

I noticed that on all the new PCs I have been looking at, that they usually have a 6-in-1 type card reader (as opposed to the 10-in-1 whatever from last year) card reader now.

There isn't a supporting slot for CF cards. It is mostly the smaller SD types.

I know the new entry level Rebel Canon cameras have the SDHC type memory cards, but all the more advanced camera models are coming with CF card use still.

Kind of fucked to buy a new PC and still have to plug a $9.99 card reader into the side of it.

Digital SLRs are bigger so there's room for a compact flash; pocket cameras do not. SD is still one step behind in capacity 32GB vs 64GB. iPod/iPhones use compact flash so I doubt they're going anywhere soon. My Dell reader has a CF slot.

Far from it - in the videographer world, CF UDMA cards are the standards. 32gb 300x speed cards are the goldmine.
