No, eskimos are probably more accurately descendents of Asians. When the bering straight was a land bridge ~12,000 years ago, the migration of modern day humans began probably as they followed megafauna over the straight into North America. So any people living in near the north pole came from this migration.

eyes are just "one" facet of a race. not the only descripter of it.
