APDs are really bad

If you are under some kind of psychiatric treatment and you are recommended to take anti psychotics drugs, think it twice. They will change your brain’s chemistry and you won’t be the same person again. You will regret if you go into those drugs.

While APD's can change your mental status somewhat, as you say, to need a med like this and not take it is not the best move you can make or advice to give.
Depending on the condition, the change in your mind is exactly what needs to be corrected. If you have a chemical imbalance that needs attention, then not doing so is a foolish thing to do.
The rest needs to be worked out - evaluation, med, dose adjustment, and effect. When these are in concert, then you should be better off. For mental conditions, one should seek someone trained in that field, a psychiatrist[best] or psychologist. Anyone else is not someone who can filter out sublties that distinguish one condition from another, so why trust that they will have you on the correct med?
Depression, panic disorder, GAD, bipolar disorders are commonly misdiagnosed, and thus mistreated.

Joe, you sound much like a doctor.
Your opinion makes a lot of sense, and, although the chemical imbalance can be corrected with APD's, not much is known about what happen after you discontinue the treatment. The neurotransmitters levels returns to normal, it's true, but something else changes that is not known but can be felt.
Doctors tend to prescribe medication without making a deep exploration (especially in US) and patients tend to accept them because they are desperate.
So my opinion is the same, if you are suffering some kind of psychosis, be aware that the drugs you will be prescribed are going to change you for ever. And probably you are going to miss what they are going to take from you.
I still see things that are not there, I still hear voices. I don’t need a pill to release me because I do believe that that pill can make more harm than good. I just need to learn to live with it.

Buddy, I have to ask...why are you discontinuing the meds? They are only as effective as they are taken. If you are on such a med for a chemical imbalance, then you not only must use them to correct this, but must stay on them to maintain the proper level. Once you take yourself off and lower the therapeutic dose in your body, the effectiveness will drop. This is a problem common wih meds of this kind, and others such as meds for Type 2 diabetes. Patient compliance is a key part of the treatment.
Please continue your med schedule, for your best health interests.

Meds make me dumb, stupid, unable to feel, they slow me down and dude, I need my brain to survive this world.
My pseudo psychosis or whatever makes me feel afraid.

I choose to be afraid.
Thanks for your comment and help.
