Wrong. Here, in NYC, you find a place on NyTimes.com or call up a real estate agent. Tell them what you want. Once you find a place, you pay 15% of the annual rent costs to them as a brokerage fee. This comes from your pocket.

Same if I just found the place on nytimes.com or rent.com. Since they (the place for rent) is brokered by the agent, i still have to pay them the 10%-15% brokerage fee.

Fuck that.
