Apartment question

I plan on getting a new apartment this week, however, I only need it for 6 months. The minimum lease available is 13 months. What would happen if I just moved out after 6 months? Would they just keep my deposit, or pursue legal action?

depends. Some will just keep your deposit and next time you go to rent you will have a bad record on your name. Other can pursue legal action, depending on how much the rent is. So if you live in some cracked out whore apartment then they will probably just take the deposit. Anyway, sometimes they charge you a fine for breaking a lease. You may want to talk to them about it and find out how much the fine would be for breaking the lease.

you should see if there is anyplace you could sublet from. If not you could always sublet yours to someone when you leave.

If you have really good references, then maybe go to these people and explain the situation to them. They may charge you a little more per month. Who knows!
