AP Exam

i took the AP calculus test in high school... i got a 4 :) i acutally got 4 free college credits for it. I am done bragging now :p

I took an AP (college level course) this year (I'm in highschool) and at the end of the year, you take an exam to see if you can get college credit for the class or not. There are 5 possible scores you can get:
5 - Almost all colleges will accept it
4 - Most colleges will accept it
3 - Some colleges will accept it
2 - No colleges will accept it
1 - " "

I hope that I got at least a 4, if I don't, I think I'm gonna puke. If I would've tried harder in the class, I would've gotten a 5, hands down.

AP Exams rule. I got 12 credits in college for the exams I took, allowing me to skip some bullshit/retard frosh courses.

my ap test scores:

Calculus AB: 4
Calculus BC: 4
AP English: 5
AP Spanish: 5
AP Statistics: 4
AP History: 4

These tests effectively allowed me to take an entire year off my completion time here... and that's with 2 majors. I would highly recommend anyone with kids force them to take as many AP tests as possible. However bad the classes, they will pale in comparison to college GE courses.

I'm taking AP US History and AP statistics next year.

Oh yeah, the AP class that I took this year was European History, everyone I know says that this one is the hardest AP test that they took all throughout highschool.

We write those in Canada too (the American version)...although my school only offered english/french/history. I'm not proficient at any of those subjects since I primarily study math/sci...art-biased bastards. Actually I could have done well in the french one since I'm in immersion oh well, it's only 2 university credits *turns red*

Straight fives in the following: AP Lit, AP Comp, AP Bio, AP CHem, AP Physics, AP History, and AP Spanish.

Baoh,

Congrats on the scores.

However, what did it take to make those scores?

Thank you.

In my case, it took innate potential, personal interest in the subjects, and (this was key) *believing* that I was there not to score just well, but score better than and defeat everyone else who was also taking the exams.

I did not study for the AP exams. Many bought the books and all that, but that's just not my style. I honestly felt sorry for some of the kids who spent good money on the practice tests and prep books, only to get a 2 or so. For some people, the potential simply is not there.

I took 10 total, 3 my junior year and 7 senior year. Got a 4 on everything but AP Physics EM which I got a 2 on, completely fucking me over.

Goddamn physics.
