Has anyone ever worked out at one of these gyms or been involved in running one as a franchise?

My brother is interested as a franchise so I wondered.

I'd be concerned about potential liability. The pulldown cable breaks at 3AM causing Fatass to club himself in the head, go into convulsions then pass out til he's found by the next member 3 hours later. I used to go to a similiar club in Atlanta 10 years ago.

I said the same thing to my brother. God, just looking at the idiots in a SUPERVISED gym, I hate to see what they would do if left to run amuk in an unsupervised gym at 3 am. My thought would be to have people on staff or something <<... pictures fat guy who doesn't speak English being the only one who would take a night shift trainer / bathroom cleaning guy job because my brother is on a limited startup budget...>>. He needs to look at those aspects a little more closely. I'm sure that's an issue for anyone who has pursued anytimefitness.com. I imagine there would be some sort of liability waiver (like those ever work...) and maybe some additional liability waiver or something if the little gym was attached to a corporation or something.

that would have to be one huge freakin gym , thank god for that invention called video cameras.

i got all clubs all sport pass for 24hr fitness @ 5bux / month for rest of my life! no complaints.
