GOT PRESCRIBED "OCTREOTIDE LAR 30 MG" FOR MY PANCREASE DISEASE. ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A HORMONE DRUG THAT IS USED FOR OTHER THINGS AND HAS BEEN FOUND TO HELP WITH PANCREAS PROBLEMS. ABOUT $ 1,000 A SHOT. ANYBODY HEARD OF STUDIES OR KNOW OF THIS DRUG?

This is it just conflicting if its used for pancrease issues as doctor who is worl renowned told me it pretty new and not approved as a pancrease drug but will be within a year or so. He has used it and my nurses at the Indianpolis medical center said they have seen good progress while on this.
