I watch the show once in a while, some of the teachers altho skinny are hot ass.
Anyways I am watching it last night and they had the usual shit on there, couple kids involved in sex, one kid on heroin and then one kid alledgedly using steroids for baseball. OK fine tackle all forms of drug use cause kids shouldnt be using roids or most supps for that matter because they are the ones that fuck it up for all of us.
Now I am ok at this point until the coach breaks into this kid's locker and finds ephedrine, creatine and andro. Ok fine. Then he confronts the kid and this is where I get pissed off. The kid gets in shit and says well I bought them at a health food store and they are legal and the coach says "no they are just like steroids"(something like that) . I am like what the fuck? Oh and alledgedly in the story line this kid has gained 30lbs of muscle in a couple months off ephedrine, creatine and andro.
Then one of the teachers does a lecture and goes on and on and how supplememnts are bad while telling the parents well we all take prescription meds(which i my opinion are way opver abused then even street drugs by society)
I thought to myself, how fucking irresponsible that was to compare 3 of the most dipshit supplements out there to steroids.
I find it even more hypocritical that the producer of this show(as well as the shows Ally Mcbeal and the Practice) tackles an issue like sports supplements so irresponsibly while letting the majority of his female cast members on all his shows be anorexic(which to me is 10 times more deadly and lets not even get into hollywood rec drug use).
The only thing I agree with is yes kids under 18 should not be using most supplements save protein powder and are at the age where hormonally with the right taining and mom's food and maybe some extra protein carbs and fat timed will give them good gains.
But this was way out of line and I think the media in general sucks ass in this regard.
PS got to love when sport/news shows refer to athletes who fail drug tests as cheaters or unnatural yet most of them have had some sort of plastic surgery, breast, nose, lip jobs, hair transplants and wear fucking makeup on tv to cover up thier ugly bits.
Just a rant.
