Anyone use full body workouts???

Used to do full body and found i can be more thorough working one or two on a split, but then again I'm going for more size, have cycled test and recently a beast run

I tried the hyper trophy specific training split and i just didn't like it. I like 4-5 days w intense focus on each body part.

A full body workout would take 4 hours; whats the point of it.

I'm doing whole body workouts 3 days a week. Can do whole body workouts, but switch what are focusing on. It depends on your goals.
I'm also not trying to gain any size or strength anymore and focused on cardio.

Thanks for the replies, im still looking for size but when I do splits, say shoulders on Friday, and I go swimming on the weekend its agony and have no strength!. Or legs , and day after go running or surfing it kills... Sometimes I just wonder if full body would be more appropriate, that way I can start boxing too. Cant exactly box for at least 4/5 days after chest due to DOMS !!

Its possible get away with more diversified workouts as far as hitting whole body and varying exercises/what is stressed in each workout. Can be good for overall size with how design your workout. Look at a 5x5 is good for overall size and no isolation

I would say its too much you Wouldn't be hitting certain body parts as hard as you could with this type of training!

Dial tone hit it on the head. Cant do an effective full body workout for size in an hour or two..... Unless you swim, run or surf competitively accept your going to be sore, weak and unable to put it in as hard as you could if you hadn't been weight training. I know you know this already but you can't specialize in everything, best you can do is work out what your main priority is and build around that.

Your issue is you do a lot of other activity with lifting. A better schedule would be
Monday- chest/shoulders
Tuesday-Run
Wednesday-back
Thursday-legs
Friday-arms/light cardio
Saturday-swim
Sunday-off
