I feel this needs to be said. I have seen so many young people on here looking for advice on cycles or what gear to use and it is just a waste of time (ours and yours). First off you are too yonug to use gear. There are a number of reasons for this 1) you do not have the knowledge you need to have to use gear. Like PCT, cycles, how you should lift and eat on gear, how you should lift after a cycle and many other things. 2) This is the major reason for me. Your chance for an injury is greatly increased, not just b/c of the gear, but b/c of the under developed connective tissue of someone this young. Gear puts a lot of stress on joints, tendons and ligaments, b/c of the extremely heavy weight you lift, this is just asking to hurt yourself. 3) At this age you have pleanty of natural test to go around and can build a good body off that with good disclipine. which is what you need when on gear. So do yourself and us a favor and wait til your body and your knowledge are ready. Hang around the boards and learn everything you can. The day will come when you can join the big men LOL1

Some of this is true, but about not having the knowledge, that's BS. I know plenty of guys younger than me that are making their own and that have PCT that rivals some pro's. I was 22 when I did my first and researched it on here for about a year. I think 21 for most, but not all is an OK age to start.

dont do gear under 21, your body is still producing more than enough test, eat and train and the gains will come...always run test, have good pct...eat bro....do a search

I agree man. Although I am 22, I have 8.5 years of lifting behind me. Even though I have a first cycle in 3 weeks, I have done my reading/ reseach about lifting during a cycle. I am not going to start deadlifting 600 lbs right away and injure myself. Thats just stupid to have an ego like that. I totally agree with you on everything else. I have done enough research to know sides, diet, pct and everything else that goes along with AS usage. Also I am doing this cycle, and future cycles, for bodybuilding competitions, so I am not going to slack after a cycle and be a dumbass to loose all I have gained.
*sorry gotta spread the K around more*

I agree this is not an absoulte, but it applies to the masses. There may be some with not, but for the most part they do not have the knowledge.

i think this applies to people who lift for one month and dont see much change so they do juice because they think it will make them look like a gorilla..

Exactly thats the way 70% of the people at my university gym are.

I don't think it's about how much knowledge you have in relation to your age. At 21 you can certainly read so there is no reason that someone that age couldn't know all there is to know about how to use steroids safely.
I think the reason to wait is mature muscle mass. The vast majority of the people who use steroids and then lose their gains 6 months after they come off are people who haven't trained long and hard enough to have mature muscle to build on.
Too many people look at someone who they want to look like and think the steroids make the difference. You can take steroids until your head pops off your neck and it's not going to do squat if you aren't training and eating right. There is a whole generation of kids coming here with the idea that steroids will fix them up. And you can't talk them out of it.

i can prob. name like 30 kids who lift prob. once a week and do jucie..

Ulter, what do u think about my situation? I am 22, lifted for 8.5 years and have diet/ training down pat. I have my first cycle in 3 weeks.

Do you all think athletes between ages of say 21-26 should stay away from AAS as well? I myself am reading/researching purely for the strength aspect and am not looking at using to get big or compete in bodybuilding. The thing that even started me reading here is the competitive edge in sports that has been taken to new heights. Guys like me that are not naturally skilled, naturally built, naturally VERY strong and have worked HARD for everything their whole life are looking at AAS more to be able to compete against those players that have the natural ability/size/strength.

You know it's really hard to say without seeing you Sweed. You have the experience and knowledge. I don't know what your goals are so I can't say how successful you'll be in reaching them.
I have a few pics from 2003 in there when i was around 210 maybe. I am 225 -230 right now. After my cycle I hope to be 245 around 12%. My goals are to bulk up then (not suddenly) diet for a contest in late September. Future goals are to compete in the Collegiate Nationals in July 2006. I hope to be around 210 -220 around 5% by then.
thanks for replying

Yeah. I researched the hell out of gear before I took the plunge. But it's sort of irrational to arbitrarily pick the number 23. M'kay...

No doubt Hog.... When I was 22 I looked like 12, compared to this kid.

Anyway I did hurtmyself when I was in my early twenties, had no idea about pct and estrogen control. Lucky though, I never used any orals, and cycles were short. Alot of injurys. 10 years later, whole new respect and understanding for anabolics, as well as lifting exsperience. Times are sure alot diferent or maybe it's just me. Thank god for the internet and forum's like elite to keep people straight. This is my second home. Good to be hear.

Yeah, I didn't know what the words "hit the muscle belly" meant until I was 28.... I was makin' my partners puke during workouts at 30. I have learned so much about feeling and stimulating muscles, what I was at 22 was DANGEROUS!
