Anyone try BD precision glide needles? New???

i've heard of the integra for about a year now, but did not know it was a retractable. kinda sounds like that fake company from the movie boiler room !!

i use standard bd every time.

I have, though they are the only ones I have ever used, I don't know how they compare to others, but for me they were painless. I had the 22 gauge 1.5"

I guess its the lamborghini of pins.lol
Im fine with a standard pin.

i remember taking a flu shot a couple years ago, after it went in my arm and out i didn't see the needle part...asked the nurse where the heck did it go. she said it was retractable...sure glad she explained it to me....

thats a good idea, don't have to worry about someone getting pricked with it...

Integra is the most expensive retractable syringe on the market today. It's latex-free, retracts (osha safety compliance), and has "med-saver" tech which basically means you're squeezing every bit of liquid out of it. Doctors and nurses love them. They're all I use, but then again I get them free. No difference in sharpness between one or the other. Buy BD but buy what's less expensive. All BD needles come from the same place.

Can I use a normal syringe with the needles?

"Integra" only applies to the syringe. everything else is the same. use your pins with your regular syringes.

I've used some latex free precision glide bd's before but they didn't look like that. They just had a plastic sleeve over the syringe it'self. My guess would be when you've used it you can just pull the plastic sleeve up and it'll lock so people won't poke themselves!?!?! A buddy of mine actually used the sleeve as a guide so the needle goes straight in without moving. I've never tried it like that so who knows.

Those syringes are called Safety-Lok. I guess what these shops are doing is selling you pins calling em all precision-glide. Different safety mechanisms get different names. Safety-Lok, Safety-Glide, Eclipse, Integra. BD makes all these.
