Anyone try Absinthe?

Oh yeah it's real. This Norwegian guy from my old office brought a case to a bachelor party and we got retardified on it. I was seeing trailers, but wasn't tripping like it was acid or mushrooms. The sound was distorted too sometimes. It foked me up pretty good. Then I tapped into my half oz and chased that dragon for the rest of the weekend.

I was talking to my buddies about this a few days ago.

We came to the conclusion that we may try it, but it will be probably be an expensive order ~200+ bucks (a few bottles from Europe) ... and that Van Gogh abused it when he sliced his own ear off, so we'll be ok.
 
i had some str8 from europe, and it was ok ,nothing like shrooms or a hit of wig.

small tracers and what not ....nothin like eurotrip lol

not only that but there are so many different brands and "styles" of it too.... the anise (licorice flavor) ones people either love or hate... if you like black licorice probably love it.
 
I bought three bottles when I was in Israel.

They all taste like crap... they range from 160-190 proof... shit is strong as hell in terms of it's alcohol content. If you don't like the flavor - don't try to dillute it in anything or you'll just have to guzzle more. Shoot it.

As far as the 'Green Ferrie' or what not... no idea. The real deal is that it that wormwood in it has a similar yet milder affect not unlike that of THC or Marijuana, but the few times I've tried Marijuana it has had no effect on me that I could notice, so I didn't expect much from the Absinthe - other than getting F'd up from all the alcohol.
 
The wormwoor that's used to ferment it is what foks you up hallucigenation wise. The manjaculator is right though, the booze gets you and then it's the background shit.

its a different buzz. I didn't hallucinate, but had a wicked headache the following day.

i tried it before and just got a different buzz, no hallucinating but maybe its because i didn't get totally smashed.

I've tried it and it makes everything seem a little dream-like. It's the stuff that inspired the Impressionist painters in the early 20th century. I plan on brewing my own and I found a site that sells kits with everything I need. I'm looking forward to trying my hand at making absinthe.
