What's the easiest way to do it? I know there are these online things where you pay like $388.00 and they supposedly register with your state etc. but I don't know how official they seem.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,

BIBO

Just have your CPA do it. It'll cost a few hundo, but better to have someone else deal with it.

Its a royal pain in the ass. I just did all the paperwork for my boyfriends company. Took a lot of research and crap. I wish we had payed someone to do it for us.

I've set up quite a few for clients. . .in fact, at this point it's my favorite form of entity. . .in theory you get all the protection of a corporation without a lot of the administrative responsibilities, which is a welcome relief for the typical small business owner.

In PA you can do it yourself by filing a Certificate of Organization and paying a $125 fee. Pretty simple.

I'm not sure about your state but in GA it was real easy to go online to the sec. of state website and download everything. One of the easiest things I've done w/ our business concerning the state of GA. Everything else has been a pain in the ass. Registration isn't but 25.00 anually. I would at least check into it before letting a CPA do it for you.

Digimon do you think you'd be able to set me up and give me info in NJ. I'd rather give business to a good bro than someone I don't know.

I would use Company Corp to become an S corp not an LLC. Buy their cheapest package for an S corp. Incorporate in Deleware or Nevada, then register to do business in your state. http://www.corporate.com/

I was an S Corp. 2x once in Hawaii, had my cpa do it.. it sucked and costed 1K. wish I had done the LLC. and once I incorperated in Deleware and did biz in CA. that worked okay but I still paid thru the nose in taxes. It really depends upon your state and your business to determine which would be best for your situation.
