Anyone Play(ed) In Bands?

Flah

If so, what happened? You guys ever put out a demo? Got some tunes to post? Get signed? Ruled the world?

Anyone work in the music industry? Producers? A&R guys?

Just genuinely curious.

Yes. Primarily a drummer, I have played in multiple bands, from experimental to Speedmetal. Done some guitar and vocals too. But my main love is for the drums.

That's badass. So, do you guys have any audio or webpages? Going on tour? Any chance of hitting Socal on said tour to see you guys play?

Many times -- mostly guitar (lead) thrash bands of the 80s. Farthest we got was demos for a local company named Dischord records, whose claim to fame was a modestly successful hardcore band named Fugazi. This was like 20 years ago though. I'm an old man now, a doctor with children. But I think being in a band is a quintessential american experience. My son is doing slayer covers -- and the beat goes on :)

Fuck -- if you love dischord you're MY new hero :) Thanks man, we thought we were pretty cool . . . Straight edge or die . . . sigh ... them's was the days. We actually sucked Flah, particularly me, but Ian was just being nice. He often was.

Anyway, my son wants you all to know that while he does slayer covers, he actually prefers jazz, bebop in particular. I think he's settled into the traditional jazz vein; that was too highbrow for me as a kid lol! Must be his momma's genes -- the higher IQ and all.

This is a great thread btw. Can you guys playing now post mp3s? I'd love to hear.

When I was looking around, I found this:

Few bands who insist on a ranting blast this consistent find themselves also able to maintain coherence to each song, but Deprecated with a wily off the cuff approach integrate their songs with force and intelligence. This band have found inspiration to make the New York- and Tampa-styled school of ultra-explosive death metal work with wide variation in structure, including churning doom and grinding midtempo support. High-intensity textured blasts and viral self-re-inventing riffs highlight the power and intensity of this slamming death metal band.

Rock on man. Was your guys' site on deathmetal.com? If so, found it and checked out the mp3. I dig on it, for some reason it reminds me a lot of Severe Torture or maybe the mighty Cryptopsy, haven't narrowed it down yet.

But it certainly rocks.

You mean sloptopsy?eh... thanks?Anyways,we were going for more the suffo, pyrexia, gorguts feel.Whatever it was we loved it.
Sitewise not sure if its up anymore, whatever you find on google is it.
