Anyone know what schnitzel is???

viener schnitzel, not bad stuff.

Veal cutlets, pounded about a 1/4 inch thick, and breaded. :Chef: :tuc:

I hate that shit.

close to here is a restaurant called "The Schnitzel Bank"

nasty

they sell this HUGE ass one, they claim are actually a slice of a whole pork... imagine the size of it. Over here there are your typical student food: filling and cheap

If I'm not mistaken, this is how you make it:

Cut the veal into at least finger thick fillets, so they can be pounded well. After pounding flat dip both sides into the flour. Blend the eggs with one tbsp. oil and some salt and pepper and pull the fillets through this mixture. Finally, lay the fillets into the bread-crumbs, which should cover all meat, but do not press the bread-crumbs on to the meat with your fingers or they will become hard when frying. Fry in a small amount of oil on medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side. The fillets should become a golden brown.
Serve the Schnitzels with salad and french fries (Pommes Frites, a.k.a. 'pommes') and remember that the 'Wiener Schnitzel' fast food chain have absolutely nothing to do with authentic German Wiener Schnitzel.

This is what you get:

I could eat about 20 pancakes like that right now no problem. Sooo fuggin good.

You can't beat my protein pancakes, spread some natural peanut butter on top, sprinkled with a litte powdered sugar w/ some light syrup :chomp: :RADAR

Its meat and you slap it until its real thin and smooth

or maybe they press it, I dunno

but its meat and you basically got your ordinary one and the wienerschnitzel which has like a coating around it, like deepfried stuff does

White German wines are acceptable, if there is nothing else to drink. Think about the Riesling and the Eiswein or for example anything from the Rheingau region or the neighborhood of Trier. Not bad at all. The biggest wine fest of the world is actually held in Germany (which only says they like to drink a lot).

RED German wine, on the other hand, is not acceptable EVER... people caught drinking it should be shot on the spot. Why? Simple: THERE IS NO SUN HERE DAMN IT!!!

You want to drink red wine?`stick to the best: Spanish (Rioja, Rivera del Duero, etc) or Italians (Rosso or Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Clasico, hell, even something as Sangiovese is good).

In general terms, the worst of the Southern red wines are better than the best of the german red wines (or anything north of here for that matter).

I know somebody will jump about me not mentioning French wines... I like there whites, but for reds, I stick to the south
