Anal--Ohio only has Verizon and they do not have privacy director yet. Bastards
Verizon has Anonymous Call Reject, which blocks ANYONE with a blocked number from calling you unless they unblock (*82) thier number before calling you.
*67 does not work.
*67 is per-call blocking for people who don't want caller id blocking, but want the ability to block thier number from caller id on a per-call basis. I think you're thinking about *69, the automatic callback. That will not work on ANY blocked number.
I called the local police and i knew that would be a joke. They basically told me the same thing the phone company did and I told them that is was life threatening. They basically told me there is nothing I can do but If i wanted to fill out a report to have it on file i could. Yea right what a waste of time.
Call Verizon's Call Annoyance Bureau. They'll tell you the process.
So I tried to do it the right way but this brings me back to the called id mod chips. I found the schematics on this site but I know there is places out there where you can just buy the chip and stick it in.
I don't know about this stuff, and I guess it's possible, but why go through all that nonsense when you can just install a free feature on your line.
