Likly for the money ..... I'm in northern part of alberta where if your not making 100k plus a year then your a fucking idiot or never graduated high school .....

My nefew is 19 and working in the NWT in a diamond mine , his shifts are 21 days in and 11 days out . In camp all meal and lodging are free , he pulls $4500.00 per week !!! yes folks thats $13,500.00 in 21 days and they fly him in and out of edmonton for days off .

People scoff at western canada who don't know any better , you guys in the east can go ahead and starve while the rest of us out here are planning our retirements at 40 .... LOL

lol, yeah. Us Ontarians that account for over 40% of the entire country's GDP are going through garbage cans looking for food.

Whatever floats your boat ... I'm more of a fresh food guy myself


I have little doubt that ontario will vote out the conservitives as soon as they realize all the liberal handouts are gone .

By the east i meant the coastal regions BTW , Alberta has a higher population of newfies then newfoundland does , they come here for the work . They can make more here in one year then they can at home in 5 years .

I have relitives in nova scotia & PEI ..... they get by on next to nothing


Getting harper and the conseritives in office has staved off the western seperatism movement for the time being , out here canada ends at manitoba Ontario border as far as most are concerned ..... the handleing of the BSE and soft wood lumber crisses pretty much shows what the federalist think or care about the west .

The gun registery born out of gun violence in big cities like TO did little but suck funds out of pockets of law abiding farmers out west who hunt for sport and protect cattle from preditors . federal laws and policies born out in the east most often don't take into consideration the west is like a different world .

CBC ran a documentry on a woman from ottawa i believe it was , they sent her out west and followed her around with a film crew as she got enlightened to the way things differ from one end of the country to the other , her view did an about face by the end of the show .

This country is to big and to spread out to have policy makers mostly represented in goverment from one side of the country who have no clue how things work at the other .. ontario and quebec hold a majority of the seats

We need reform ... once reform is in place then i'm all for transfering oil revenew out of alberta and back to ottawa to increase transfer payments to lacking provinces . But not untill we have a voice in goverment , alberta is dept free and we can help other provinces to reach the same status but not untill the fat cows have been put to pasture

No offense man but that's a crock of shit. I bet you a million dollars you despise those in Quebec who have been screwing the rest of Canada for decades right? Well you know what? You sound just like them.

Have fun in the Great White North. Who are you working for now? I have interviews with Schlumberger, Excel and a startup out of Texas right now. Been taking a few weeks off to take care of a bunch of bullshit with this house and have to be a witness in another case, Yeah! Hasn't been much of a break, I have never wanted to go back to work so badly in my life. Hope things are going well and you healed up after that last comp.

I'm working just outside of Marsden SK.

MM- I'm actually doing contract work for my old company at nearly double my old rate. I've actually been thinking of applying with Schlumberger. Sucks you are still involved in dumb shit. Back is doing great I've been pulling from the floor with no pain.

Oak- Wish I could man but I need the money.
