I'm going on vacation in a little over a month to california... is ephedrine still in stores there? or has it been banned yet?

Ephedrine HCl and Ephedra are not banned yet. Most drugstores don't carry Primatene Mist or Mini-Thins anymore, though I saw a whole bunch of boxes of Primatene in a Ralphs (supermarket chain) of all places just last week.

Netrition.com and dnepharm.com carry Ephedrine HCl and Ephedra, if you don't want to rely on buying it here in California.

The CA legislature recently passed a bill with no opposition banning the sale of ephedra. Offhand, I don't know when it goes into effect.

This is a very incorrect statement. I work in this industry and we still sell plenty of ephedra here in CA...

It might be a location issue here in Ca. I am in the central valley and the have pulled it everywhere around here. I did find some over the weekend in Reno.

I am also currently in the Cenral Ca, and still have it here...There seems to be alot of misinformation around here...People ask me daily if it has been banned, and I can tell you that my stores still carry it...

It should be the same in all of Cal. (southern or central). Try a place that is geared more towards BB'ers like Max Muscle or Nutri-Sport...Both of them should have it...

I find in So. Cal that I have to start wearing a wetsuit right around the second week of October every year...(for surfing)

Well I'm at home right now so I don't know exactly where to look, but you can start by looking into shops that are more geared to BB'ers and sports nutrition. The most popular being Max Muscle and Nutri-Sport. (though you can find other small privately owned shops with it...)
