I do. :) Only Cuban cigars. Handmade in Havana. ;)

Hand rolled by a little Cuban family in South Beach.

just kidding. A Bolivian friend of mine brings them in via alternate routes. We light them up while sitting at an outside bar on a side street in Key West.

But I don't inhale.

They call me "Bill".

yupp,I got a humidor aswell, right now its pretty bare with only 2 cohibas but I had partagas, and some local dominicans that we smoked at my buddies going away party.

I get mine all directly brought back from where they are made,no buying from some middle man here as the mark up is fucking crazy

I have before, not really my cup of tea, I do like a pipe now and then, but rarely

Whiskey

LOL...wanna hear how I get my Cubans? From relatives of Cuban friend. They know people in Cuba that work in tobacco industries actually making cigars with their own hands. They get the Cigars from that people. Since this person make the cigars himself, the Cigars doesn't have any kind of label. It's plain. Then they are smuggled here, wrapped in "juventud rebelde" newspaper (the main communist newspaper in Havana). I think they only can bring here like 2 little boxes. Since these are dozens, without labels, are 100% illegal. And wrapped in communist newspaper from Cuba, and not paying for them (therefore I'm not financing Castro's wallet) they have a special value for me. The smell, the taste, is never equalable by any Cigar of the world. In fact, every Dominican Cigar has it's first layer Cuban. Because that kind of leaf is only produced in Cuba. And I get different sizes. From small ones for a quick pleasure, to big ones that I enjoy in a bar-b-q with my friends. :p

well then any cuban cigars then? I have a guy that plays at my poker game who loves cigars. I'd love to get him a box of cuban cigars.

I smoke a few every year. I'm picking some Cubans up in Canada this week.

Is actually the best in the world or has it just become that due to the aura surrounding it because of trade embargos with Cuba? What if it was the Dominican Republic we had an embargo against? Would their cigars be what are now "cubans?"

not all cubans are the best, some are shite dispite having the same outter leaf, cohibas are top of the line because when first made they were only available to castro, and he still has a good profit from it.

but Ive smoked partagas for example which are cuban aswell and dominican punch are far better imo

I don't think so since Cohiba, Montecristo and most of the well known Dominican Cigars, are actually original from Cuba. After communist cancer, they started making the same brands outside. Cuba has been a Cigar producer since maybe more than 150 years ago. Now if we talk about what I like, I prefer one Cuban over a ton of Dominican or Honduran. It's the leaf, the weather, the process, everything. Old Spaniards (Cubans) have the best technique.

p.s. The same happened with Bacardi. Puerto Ricans say "it's Puerto Rican". Wrong. Bacardi is Cuban. After communist cancer again, they had to left the island and they established in Puerto Rico. If you try real Cuban Bacardi or "Havana-Club Rum", is a 100% different smell and taste. So good, you can't even feel the alcohol.

i'm smokin' one right now. :)

so how do you guys know that "cuban" ain't being made in rural iowa?

how much money is there in shipping cubans from canada to the us? might as well take advantage of my dual citizenship.

I literally just walked into the local cigar store and struck up a convo with the owner. soon enough he showed me the secret stash and bam! Cohibas. Now some places my not do this for a first time customer, but you may be able to swing it.
