stop smoking!

if not for sickness, I would suggest you stop, for "pot" can cause lung cancer to a higher degree than cig.

Munchies: try 5-htp at 5x the dose on the bottle and some ECA, drink 50oz. water than you can see if you're hungry.

oh yes, stop smoking

Protein bar

If you gotta have something sweet, get a low carb chocolate protein bar. Problem is, you'll probably end up eating 6 of 'em....

Maybe if you smoked as much pot as cigarette smokers smoke cigarettes. This is, however, not the case, unless you're Snoop Dogg.

take some ECA with 100 mg's of 5-htp. It will kill your appetite dead..

"Pot" fertilization and pesticide spraying (done for most mainstream pot) is about 40fold higher than cigarettes, do a search on it and you'll find what I'm taking about. Also, "pot" (even w/o the "bad pesticide") causes free-radical increase about 80fold which can be fairly compared to DNP free-radical release.

Damn that's a lot of free radicals. And no increase in oxidative phosphorylation to make it worthwhile.

That's a really good point Mr.X!!

Heres what ya do. Get some good healthy food a put it very close to where you will be smoking. Now smoke the weed. By the time the munchies kick in, although you want something else, you at this point should be entirely to lazy to go get it, hence, settling for the closer of the 2 options, the healthy shit next to you.

Dont believe some of this hype. Smoking ANYTHING causes lung damage, and marijuana is no different. However, you can minimize any damage by smoking out of a water pipe or bong, buying very high quality weed (you can get weed so good it takes 1-3 hits to get high), etc. Marijuana does not cause as much damage to the lungs as tobacco, and even if it did, the amount of marijuana a typical weed smoker uses is NOTHING compared to the amount of tobacco the average tobacco smoker smokes. You could always make marijuana brownies (a moderator, Havoc, put an excellent recipe on the "Muscle Food" forum). Ingesting marijuana is a completely drawback-free way to use it.

Marijuana does provide benefits. And while Mr. X is a very knowledgable person, and I've given him karma on many occaisions for his advice, until I see a some studies done on humans, I dont believe the free radical story at all. Marijuana is a natural pain reliever, it reduces eye pressure, reduces stress, leads to increased relaxation, provides relief for those suffering from nausea, Glaucoma, MS, and other diseases/ailments.

The only major problem with marijuana is that its illegal. However, in 9 states of the US, it is legal for medical use. Go to NORML.org and see if you're one in one of the 9 states.

To answer your original question, its WILLPOWER. Everyone gets the munchies (all humans have cannabinoid receptors in the brain), but how you react to this hunger is your own choice. Either will yourself not to eat, or eat clean when the munchies hit. Take some ECA or another appetite supressant. Have something filling like meat or another healthy snack.

Marijuana also has little effect on a fitness lifestyle, unlike many other substances people choose to use recreationally (alcohol, etc.)

Also, the pesticide story sounds fishy to me, kinda like "heroin being in ecstacy tabs" or "theres crushed up light bulbs in coke". People growing the weed know how it's going to be used. If word got around that pesticides were being used on the weed, no one would want it. There are very very few bugs that eat marijuana also. Animals like deer and thieves are a much bigger threat to the crops.

Make some egg whites or have an MRP, it will usually provide enough satiety. Same happens to me knekt, thats how I end up eating a box of cereal or a Jar of PB.
